SWP calculator
A systematic withdrawal plan turns a corpus into a monthly income. The question is always the same: how long does it last?
Corpus lasts
50+ years
Total withdrawn
₹3 Cr
Balance after 25 yrs
₹14.22 Cr
Withdrawing ₹50,000 a month from ₹1 Cr at an assumed 8.0% return, growth outpaces the withdrawal — the corpus is not exhausted within 50 years. Remember that inflation will erode what that withdrawal buys.

How this is calculated
Each month the balance grows at one twelfth of the annual rate, then the withdrawal is deducted. The corpus is exhausted when the balance reaches zero.
This calculator holds the withdrawal constant. In reality you will need to raise it over time to keep pace with inflation, which shortens the life of the corpus — worth modelling properly before you rely on the number.
